"The great gift of family life is to be intimately acquainted with people you might never even introduce yourself to, had life not done it for you." ~ Kendall Hailey
This site captures my ongoing research for my Jamaican ancestors and their descendants. I started my search in the parish of Saint Ann, Jamaica with my paternal and maternal grandparents. Edward Nathaniel Stewart and his wife Ardel Fedelia Johnson were my paternal grandparents. My maternal grandparents were Margaret Evans and Ernest Egbert Redway.
To date I have traced over 1700 ancestors and living family members from Jamaica to the United States, Canada and Europe. I have also identified numerous other related families. I have taken the genealogical information that I have found regarding these families and tried to transcribed them into mini-bios of family members and posted them to this site. As I gather more information I will expand on their stories. I welcome you to explore and get to know these families and the journey of their lives. I have been researching my own family since 2010 and since 2013 I have helped numerous others to locate records and related information on their own ancestors. I will be offering genealogy research services for records from the American, Canadian and Jamaican regions to the public in the near future. The "Citations" page has many links to records related to various family members posted to this site. Please feel free to contact me is you have questions regarding any information on this site. J.
