"The great gift of family life is to be intimately acquainted with people you might never even introduce yourself to, had life not done it for you." ~ Kendall Hailey
This site documents my findings as I research my ancestral family lines. My parents were born on the beautiful island of Jamaica in the Caribbean.
I started my search in the parish of Saint Ann, where my grandparents lived. Edward Nathaniel Stewart and his wife Ardel Fedelia Johnson were my paternal grandparents. My maternal grandparents were Margaret Evans and Ernest Edward Redway. To date I have traced one family line back to an ancestor born in 1778 (in Scotland or Ireland, to be determined) , another line to Panama in 1803 and yet another line to an African woman Grace born c. 1747 and enslaved on an Estate in Dumbarton, Saint Ann, Jamaica. I have connected with family members in Jamaica, Canada, Central America, Europe and the United States. I have taken the genealogical information that I have found regarding these families and tried to tell their story. These stories will evolve as I gather more information. I welcome you to explore and get to know these families and the journey of their lives. If you think you might be related please feel free to contact me. I have been researching my own family since 2010 and since 2013 I have helped numerous others to locate records and related information on their own ancestors. Currently my services include genealogy research for Canadian and Jamaican and the United States. To learn more about these services click on "Services" in the panel to the left. The "Citations" page has many links to records related to various family members posted to this site. Please feel free to contact me is you have questions regarding any information on this site. J.
