THE JOURNEY

We start with a free, no obligation consultation.  We work closely with you to develop your goals and objectives and to select the right project type for your needs. In order to do this, you will be asked what your goals are, what you know about the individual(s) you would like researched and what you would like to know.

Once the project type is agreed to payment will be required prior to research beginning. A variety of sources will be used to fulfill the project: data bases, archives, newspapers, books and research specialists.

You will be presented with a report of all of the findings, as well as copies of all documents we were able to locate and an explanation of the findings.

IMPORTANT: The success of your research project will depend on the accuracy of what you know and what information is available. Therefore the results cannot be guaranteed. Genealogy findings based on documentation can in some instances be subjective. The results of the research may not completely fulfill your goals if you know very little about the individual(s) being researched , if there are inaccuracies in the information provided or if there is limited or restricted related documentation. Clients must be prepared for unexpected results and 1st Generation Genealogy cannot be held responsible for unforeseen results.
